It was a popular animated from the 1980s originally Voltron Defender of the Universe. The story was revolving around five space explorers who pilot robotic lions that combine to form Voltron, an invincible guardian sworn to defend the Universe. <br /><br />Well there's a live action Voltron movie ahead of us! The success of the Transformers movie series has indeed spurred interest in doing a movie adaptation of Voltron. And don't believe the recent rumors about the Voltron movie getting scrapped: the project is still on and a screenwriter should be announced soon! That's all part of the plan here: reintroducing the brand to the fans who've watched over the last 25 years and to a new generation.
